The third White House Conference on meneger glavbyx Small Business, convened in 1995, has been the most successful held to date. Jere Glover, Chief Counsel for the Office of Advocacy at the SBA, recently commented to the delegates,
"...(A)n unprecedented number of the recommendations unitystore internet shop have been addressed with meaningful actions as a result of President Clinton and the Congress finding common ground on the nation's small business agenda. On behalf of the Office of Advocacy, I congratulate you on the important role you played in these legislative successes."
Twenty thousand small business owners participated in state and regional conferences, advancing over four hundred recommendations to the national conference. From this group, two thousand owners came to Washington, at their own expense. Through votes, we selected sixty recommendations designed to address the most important issues facing small business in America. These recommendations were forwarded to Congress and the President for ation.
While many of the recommendations have been acted on, there is still much work remaining on issue implementation. This site is designed to assist in the implementation of the White House Conference Recommendations by facilitating communication between the delegates themselves and Washington decision makers. If you are a delegate to the Conference, we hope that this site will assist you in bringing forward your issues. If you are not a delegate, we invite you to browse the site, consider the issues and get involved in shaping your government.
